We have a very active School/Council at Birdsedge First School who are complete champions of pupil voice. We have two representatives for Years 1 - 5. We also have 2 Pupil Parliament Representatives who attend termly meetings with other representatives from the wider Trust schools. We dedicate a weekly assembly to Pupil Voice which is led by the children and where the group can listen to issues and problems raised by their peers and take on suggestions and ideas. They also plan for key events in school and fundraising activities.
The School Council are also our 'Eco Council' who led school into achieving the Eco Schools Flag in the summer of 2023. The school continue to work on Eco matters to maintain this award annually.
